Can I Make Money Being A Corporate Blogger? - August 17, 2010 by mynetart

An organization uses a corporate blog to release information, usually through a brief, clearly defined method. Posts or official statements are usually easily accessible through a central host and structured threads. These blogs can be categorized as internal or external. Internal blogs are published on the organization’s Intranet. They are accessible only to company personnel, and are quite often used to circulate content-subject matter between departments, and may contribute to a sense of community. They also may be used as online meetings or as forums for collective knowledge. External blogs are circulated openly, such as through the corporate website, and oftencontain subject matter on new products or services . Very often, these blogs may share similar content as press releases, but in many cases may be more informal and forthcoming, lending a bit of revealing a bit of humanity to the company idiom. It is much easier to get paid for being a blogger using the latter type.

Internal corporate bloggers are most often merely normal personnel who have some degree of who can write skillfully, and are either primarily involved in the activities that are described by the blogs, or are managed by someone who is. And since many personnel may be encouraged to take part in the blog, it may become as common as email, substituting for other kinds of communication and even in-person meetings. Many posts and personnel forums may be very informal, and even critical notices shared by management will most likely not be subjected to the kind of examination that you will see in the proofreading, editing, and reworking of externally uploaded company notices. In short, your primary agenda should probably not exclusively consist of internal corporate blogging, as it will probably not help you to get paid to write. It can, however, let you gain some knowledge in article writing that will let you get to a position where you can continue writing more formal, public-ready documents.

communications shared externally by corporations is trickier, and therefore must very often be scrutinized by specialized units of editors. While grammatical integrity and professional appearance are often significant concerns, these businesses may have the additional issue of considering political correctness, even on touchy topics. For that reason, individuals who are who excel in public relations may make desirable bloggers or consultants on issues of a sensitive nature.

In general, however, organizations who are seeking a author to contribute to an external blog, say, via a website, are quite often seeking an employee who has a degree in English and some expertise with freelance or professional blogging. They will desire a number of blogging samples. Those authors with enough expertise blogging and have some other professional degree may also be considered for evaluation. If you are a writer who is trying to obtain expertise so you can get paid to write, it may behoove you to start with less intensive freelance blogging, such as seo articles. If your business has an external corporate blog, you may also be able to get into article writing by donating your time over and above typical business hours) to blogging and or editing subject matter.

Email Marketing: The Secret To Making Them Open Yours! - July 13, 2010 by mynetart

Email Marketing – The Number One Secret To Getting Your Email Opened!!

Email Marketing is a brilliant method of marketing your business if you get it right. Of course everyone’s take on getting it right is different. I have only just realised myself how important your Email Marketing campaigns can be. Over the last few weeks, I have been shown what I am doing wrong!!

To quote one of my favourite sayings by Robert F Kennedy, “Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly”. So now I am putting my mistakes right!

And I know you are waiting for the number 1 secret, so here it is!

I always thought that your subject headline is what would get your email opened. But no! What makes someone open your email is You! Your Brand! When the person you sent the email to looks at your name, they should immediately recognise it and know who you are. That is if you are getting your online presence right. You see, if you have been seen all over social media, in pictures, videos, articles and comments, the person receiving your email will recognise your name and open that email because they already know you, they like and trust you.

One way to make your email stand out would be to use the header from your blog at the top of your emails so people recognise your ‘brand’. You could have your own signature from mylivesignature.com which will help to brand you. Try to make your emails personal to you; add a little bit of yourself into them.

Don’t get too heavy in your email, or you will lose your readers. Make sure you have plenty of new paragraphs. Once you have written it, take another look. Would you read it? If you have one solid chunk of text it may look boring and then it won’t get read! And don’t make it too long!

I have had several emails recently where the writer has just used a short line of writing, making a small column down the left hand side of the page and I must admit these do seem easier to read! Try to use bold, italics and underline to make the important parts of your email stand out. Because there is so much information on the internet nowadays that we are all learning to ’scan’ read. So if you don’t highlight them, they may not be noticed.

Recently I had a complaint from someone on my list complaining about me sending them information. They had obviously opted-in for some training I offered, not realising that they would in fact be getting emails from me once they had opted-in. What I did was to put a message at the top of my emails, explaining that to be receiving these emails they must have entered their details on one of my websites. I informed them that if they did not want help in building their online business, they were welcome to unsubscribe at the bottom of the page.

I panicked a little when I sent this out the first time, but actually only got a couple of people opting-out and actually got more click-throughs than usual. I would guess that this was because I was being myself and telling it like it is. In effect, I was happily saying I didn’t mind if they were not interested in what I had to offer!

Always think about the reason you send these emails. You are communicating with the people on your list. If they do not feel you give value, they will never buy from you. You need to offer help, advice, tips, free training and anything you have which will be valuable to them. Consider what they are searching for and try to help them in their quest, and you will become invaluable to them.

Always think, once they know, like and trust you, they will be ready to do business with you!

Hope you enjoyed this article on Email Marketing! If you want to Brand Yourself on the internet, grab the system that Sue follows so you can cut your learning curve in half!!

PROMOTING YOUR FACEBOOK FAN PAGE WITH RADIO COMMERCIALS - July 12, 2010 by mynetart

Promoting Your Facebook Fan Page With Radio Advertising

It’s become increasingly common to hear radio commercials end with “follow us on Facebook,” replacing — and sometimes augmenting — the equally weak entreaty, “Visit us online at…”

Originally, business owners were told, “Always mention your website everywhere.” So, dutifully, they did — regardless of whether their website was worth visiting. The result is the gaggle of radio spots that make lots of noise, brag about the advertiser and then end with, “Visit us online at…”

The problem: Nobody cares about your business. You’re the only person to whom your website is important.

This morning, not a single person awakened and thought, “Golly, if only someone would tell me about a good website I could visit. I have so much free time…”

People care only about how your product or service can add to the quality of their lives. If your website doesn’t promise to improve their quality of life, they’re not going to bother to go there.

Now everyone is being told, “Always mention your Facebook fan page.” Or, “Always ask listeners to follow you on Twitter.”

Using mass media — especially radio advertising — to drive traffic to your Facebook fan page is a good idea…if you do it right.

Unfortunately, too many business owners don’t understand that in order to get someone to “follow us on Facebook,” they have to give that person a reason.

Radio has proven to be the single most effective mass medium for driving targeted Web traffic (whether it’s a website, Facebook page, or Twitter account). But it’s effective only when:

1. The entire radio commercial is constructed specifically to get the targeted listener to follow you on Facebook (or go to your website, or follow you on Twitter.). That doesn’t happen when you spend the entire commercial talking about yourself and they tell listeners to go to your online page.

2. Visiting your online presence should be your commercial’s single Call To Action. With radio advertising, choice paralyzes response; you need a single call to action.

3. You give the targeted listener a compelling REASON to take that action. If you don’t promise to enhance the listener’s life or solve a problem for them, it’s a waste of time to tell people to “Follow us on Facebook”.

If your listeners go to your Facebook fan page or follow you Twitter, will they gain something by doing so??

Yes? Okay, sell that something in the commercial.

Once you have found the relevant opportunity then you will also need to create a working schedule. Working for yourself is something that takes a lot of self-discipline and self-motivation and in order to accomplish this you will need to create a schedule that you can work with.

When you have built your schedule you need to test it out by simply working as hard as possible. It might be that you are simply working on an online opportunity or that you are trying to build a business. Whatever the case, you need to be working many hours a day to accomplish your goals.
